The idea

Scent is a shadow you can smell.

A perfume is composed the way a still life is painted: darkest first, then the deep reds, then a single point of light so the whole thing can breathe. Mirabilis is that idea, five notes rendered as oil paintings you can stir with a fingertip.

    We start in the dark: oud, resin, a coal still warm. Everything is built on what you can barely see.

    The heart

    Then the flowers, dried and deepened, oxblood roses and fig, given room to bruise and hold.

  3. III

    The light

    One bright note at the very top, bergamot and neroli, so the whole thing can finally breathe.
